Why Azquo

Why Azquo? Control Without Compromise. Confidence Without Complexity. Spreadsheets That Stand Up To Scrutiny.

Why Azquo – Why We Exist

Why Azquo? Well, most organisations that handle significant volumes of data face a recurring tension. Their analytical teams think in spreadsheets — Excel is where they build models, test assumptions, and produce the numbers that drive decisions. But spreadsheets on their own lack structure, auditability, and scalability. The conventional answer is to introduce databases, BI platforms, or OLAP cubes — but these require specialist IT skills, rigid schemas decided in advance, and lengthy implementation cycles. Business users lose control of their own analysis.

Azquo was built to resolve this tension. It gives spreadsheet users the power of a database — scalability, audit trails, shared data, automatic aggregation — without taking them out of Excel or making them dependent on IT.

What Sets Azquo Apart – Why Azquo

Compliance Without Rigidity

Control Without Disruption

Flexibility Without Chaos

Clarity Without Technical Barriers

Why Azquo? Data That Fits How You Use It

Unlike a relational database, which demands rigid tables decided in advance, or an OLAP cube, which fixes the number of dimensions per fact, Azquo lets data of any shape coexist in a single store. Transactional line items, summary budgets, planning parameters, and operational metrics all sit side by side — at every level of detail you need. New types of data can be added at any time, with no migration scripts, no schema changes, and no IT involvement. Data fits how your business uses it, not how a database demands.

Many Angles on the Same Data

Conventional systems treat each piece of data as belonging to one place. A product sits in a product list; a date sits in a calendar. Looking at the same product from a different angle — sustainability, campaign membership, regional fit — typically means restructuring. Azquo lets every concept belong to any number of groupings at once. The same product can sit under Menswear, under green-energy-sourced items, and under Q4 promotional lines simultaneously. New groupings — for a regulatory category, a recall batch, a strategic initiative — can be added at any time in response to business events, and immediately appear in reports. No tables to rebuild, no cubes to redefine, no ETL changes.

This matters practically because new groupings can be created at any time in response to events or business needs — a new regulatory category, a recall batch, a strategic initiative — and they immediately become available in reports. There is no need to add columns to a table, rebuild a cube, or modify ETL pipelines.

Detail and Summary Side by Side

Unlike OLAP cubes, which require every value to fit a fixed number of dimensions, Azquo holds detailed data and summary data in the same store without forcing them into the same shape. A line-by-line sales record carrying product, channel, week, scenario, and measure can sit alongside a single annual budget figure described only by year and division — and both contribute correctly to the same reports. There is no need to over-structure the simple data or under-structure the detailed data.

Build the Template Once, Use It Everywhere

A P&L, variance analysis, or allocation model can be built once as a spreadsheet template, then applied to any number of data sets — different years, divisions, or scenarios — without rebuilding the report. Build it once, run it everywhere. This eliminates one of the most common sources of spreadsheet error: copying a template and adjusting cell references for a new dataset.
